The School-aged Immunisation Service delivers the routine national immunisation programme to children at school and in community clinics.
You can find out more information about the vaccines we offer on our Kent Family website.
- Flu and MMR vaccination (primary)
- Immunisations for teens (secondary)
Vaccines are the most important thing we can do to protect ourselves and our children against ill health now and in the future. Outbreaks of serious infectious diseases are more likely than ever, with declining rates of immunisation before children start school.
How schools can support the immunisation programme
- Send parents or carers details of our visit with link to the vaccination form. This will be supplied to you.
- Remind parents in newsletters and other regular forms of communication running up to the vaccination day.
- Remind parents via social media the weeks before our team is due to visit.
- Add our website links to your website as above.
- Follow our Facebook or Instagram channels for details of community clinics for any young people that have missed their vaccination and share details with your school community.
- Talk about vaccines and how they work in your curriculum.

Resources to use with young people - HPV vaccination
Co-produced by young people and researchers from the University of Bristol and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, ‘EDUCATE’ will help you teach students about the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine and provide reassurance about receiving the vaccine. The EDUCATE lesson will be most useful if it is delivered to year eight before they are offered the HPV vaccine.
