Things are going to change for you both once your baby arrives - there are things you can do before you conceive your baby and during pregnancy to get ready for your new arrival including taking folic acid, eating healthily and going smokefree. Your pharmacist or GP can offer further support if you have an existing condition or medication and are planning a pregnancy. There are several ways you could become a parent if getting pregnant by having sex is not an option for you. NHS.uk has information on options available to anyone, including single people and same sex couples.
